followed by a basketball double helder starting with virginia tech and fourth ranked iowa state at 7:00 eastern. all right, three weeks ago lubs was number two in the country but three straight losses have les miles sitting firmly on the hot seat. reports came out a couple of hours ago that miles spoke at a booster club luncheon this afternoon and there were insinuations made that he would be coaching his last game for l.s.u. tomorrow. now, a short while ago, the football team's twitter feed sent out a statement to the contrary, stating that he has not resigned, nor did he indicate he was resigning. the word "firing" was not used, or "fired" although that seems to be the vibe les was giving off, with the tiger gridiron club. what should we make of this? >> this the works the kept secret in the history of the world. coaches understand that we're expendable. you can -- they can make a change. and certainly, that is their prerogative. what i don't like for les miles, given what he's accomplished at l.s.u., is that

developing right now an active shooter situation is unfolding at a planned parenthood clinic colorado springs, colorado, a number of injuries have been reported, including police officers, and, several civilians. good evening everyone i'm jessica dean. i'm ukee washington. lets get to "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson monitoring the situation in our satellite center. steve, what is the latest. >> reporter: ukee and jessica, police in colorado springs say

this continues to be an active situation. while what is happening on the ground is there being considered fluid, changing, almost with each update that we get, the latest that we are hearing is that police continue to actively engage a gunman. so here's what we know at this point. police confirmed four officers injured by gunfire, in an exchange inside of planned parenthood. also, several other civilians injured in that attack. we are not sure the exact number of those injuries. we're not sure the extent of those injuries but what we have been able to confirm is that at least nine patients from this shooting have been admitted to local hospital. police say that this all started shortly before this afternoon with reports that the gun man started firing shots upon entering the building which is guarded by security. the hours later responding officers continued to be engaged, with the shooter. i want to play the latest update that we have from police and man who believes his sister was inside the building when the shooting

started. listen to this we're in the process of trying to eliminate the threat and, extricate all of the people that have been injured, okay, to include some officers. >> didn't say how many people that are dead but she was telling me that, you know, just take care of her babies, if she could get killed. >> in the meantime planned parenthood released a statement reading in part quote we don't yet fully know the full circumstances and motive behind this criminal action and we don't know if planned parenthood was, in fact, the the target of this attack. again, this ace fluid situation, much more to learn here, latest that we have heard is that nine civilians and possibly officers, inside of the hospital, from this attack. much more to learn here. we are live from the sat center, steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> we will get more details as the night goes on, steve, thanks very much. you can get very latest information about the planned parenthood shooting in colorado tonight the at 6:30 on the "cbs evening news".

taking a look at weather now after a pair of beautiful days to kick off the holiday weekend we are tracking some rain. meteorologist lauren casey is on the cbs-3 sky deck with the first look at the forecast, lauren. >> thanks, guess contact we have a double dose of sunshine and double dose of november warmth in the last few days. high temperature coming off in terror territory, and we are still very mild at this hour. 57 degrees is your current temperature in philadelphia 56 down the shore. 52 degrees in the poconos. the southeasterly wind on the lighter side, continue to drive-in some of that warmth. quiet conditions right now across the delaware valley say for a few passing clouds but up winds, more cloud cover and showers starting to work into parts of the western pennsylvania and in association with the weather system that will impact us, as we head into this weekend but what is in store for tomorrow? another round of 60-degree high temperatures, well above average but cooler on the back side of the cold front by sunday and a we have several

"eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is at the cherry hill mall and david, how is it looking. >> reporter: ukee, i'll tell you retailers are hoping for a record breaker here at cherry hill mall. it has been a busy day starting at 6:00 o'clock in the morning but shoppers calling this year-old fashion. the reason why they are calling it that is last year cherry hill mall and several other malls stayed opened for more than 24 hours straight, if you can believe it, that was not the the case this year. the mall closed last night the at midnight. had a six hour break to get things ready and opened backup at 6:00 in the morning but it has been busy, close.

burned at the egg harbor toll plaza this morning. chopper three was over the scene of the investigation, in the westbound lanes in hamilton township. state police identified the person killed as 39 year-old joseph crawford, and reportedly eradic driving was noticed prior to crawford's contracts at 10:30. two people are dead after a pontoon boat capsized in this afternoon at 1:30. five surviving pass evening tears not suffer life threatening injuries. eyewitness cam photo comes to us courtesy of viewer zach, and no one is sure, why the boat capsize budd police say strong currents might have contributed. still to come tonight on "eyewitness news" a big time celebrity gives his kid a thanksgiving scare. wait until you see hoist then turkey costume. plus, jahlil okafor talks about his role in the brawl outside the boston nightclub what he is saying about it

buster's tree farm delivered the official white house christmas tree today. first lady michelle obama received the tree as ate arrived this morning. buster farms of lansdale cultivated 18-foot frazier full which was planted in 2001 and two owners jay and jen buster, there with the first lady were there for the delivery as well. patriots quarterback tom brady is used to making turkies out of opposing defenders on sunday but yesterday it was brady himself who was floating like a bird. >> future hall of fame are posted this video of his kids playing in the leaves and then out of the leaves, there is a turkey. well, that is tom brady inside that suit. the his daughter was so spooked that she just fell over. one way to bring, turkey to thanksgiving. eagles fans might have nightmares about this next sunday when bird travel to new england to play the patriots. >> let's not talk about that game just yet. >> we're going to recover, move on indeed but we will talk about that. lauren joins us with your

wind. partly cloudy conditions and some patchy areas of fog, once again, we will see developing late tonight and then for your saturday, less sunshine in store. a bummer, increasing cloud in the afternoon but still mild up to 63 degrees. that is over 10 degrees above our average high temperature but it will see showers developing in the afternoon hours and particularly into the evening and tomorrow night as well but for tonight if you have to heat the roads for who will daze travel, dry roads, with patchy areas of fog. do watch out for reduced visabilityes specially late. for tomorrow, showers developing, late day, so if you have to hit the the roads, you will want to do so in the morning hours with those dry roads. as we head later in the day road will get increasingly wet and that will continue into sunday morning. morning showers but as we move in the afternoon hours those showers will start to move on out and skies will clear on out but storm can three, showing us what is up, with a cold front and line of showers in association with this cold front that continue to track, eastbound and that is our rain

maker as we head in the upcoming weekend. future weather shows us for your friday night nice, quiet conditions. hitting the town. overnight tonight, cloud, that start to increase and mostly cloudy for our saturday. a few kind of stray showers to start the morning in the poconos and as we head later in the a have noon a better chance of more widespread shower activity the through lehigh valley and poconos. and then late afternoon into the evening hours will enhance that rain chance across philadelphia. parts of the southern new jersey, down the shore and across delaware as well and then we could see pockets oven some heavy rainfall as we head into tomorrow night, most of our rain will come, tomorrow night, while we're sleeping and then clearing out efficiently as we head into our sunday. so by mid daze that cloud deck starting to erode and revealing sunshine for the end of our who will take weekend but it going to deal with that shower as we look toward the forecast. poconos showers like liz tomorrow. 48 degrees. the little bit on the cooler side.
